KARACHI – A woman PPP MPA was shot and injured in Clifton locality here on Friday.
Police said that MPA Kulsoom Chandio was shot in her thigh when she was heading towards her car parked outside a shop near Punjab Chowrangi. She arrived at the one of the shops near Punjab Chowrangi to buy school uniform for her children.
Kulsoom in her statement to the police stated that unidentified armed men on two motorcycles came close to her and opened indiscriminate firing, resultantly, she was injured. Police officials said that the initial investigations suggests that stray bullet hit and injured the MPA.
