RAWALPINDI - Denouncing vehemently the resolution on Balochistan tabled in the US House of Representatives, Jammat-e-Islami (JI) city officer-bearers demanded of the government to register its protest on higher level and expel US Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron P Munter immediately from the country.

The JI office-bearers said this Monday while addressing the protestors at Liaquat Bagh before proceeding to Islamabad to participant in a sit in staged by Difa-i-Pakistan Council (DPC) outside Parliament House to protest government’s decision of restoring NATO supply and criminal mum over drone attacks in tribal belt.     The speakers were included JI District Ameer Sajjad Ahmed Abbasi, General Secretary Raja Muhammad Jawad, Naib Ameer Shamas-ur-Rehman Swati, candidate for NA-54 Rizwan Ahmed, Raza Ahmed Shah and Muhammad Hanif Chaudhry. They said that owing to cowardly government, the US has started intervening into Pakistani internal affairs and it was not acceptable for the nation. They said that presenting a resolution on Balochistan province in the US House of Representatives was an ample proof that US launched an open war to harm Pakistan. The JI and whole national condemned the US for this act and demanded of the government to lift this matter on international level, they added.
After, JI office bearers and workers, numbering in hundreds, left Liaquat Bagh for Islamabad in the shape of a convoy comprised buses, mini wagons, cars and motorcycles.
A large number JI charged activists, while carrying party flags and holding placards and banners, were embarking on vehicles and bellowing slogans against government and USA. The convoy reached Islamabad while plying on Benazir Bhutto Road (BBR) triggering a massive gridlock, posing hardships for the commuters and pedestrians.
Tight security arrangements were made by the law enforcers to avoid any untoward incident.
