DEPALPUR – Unidentified dacoits looted 15 tolas of gold and Rs13,000 in cash in two armed robberies in the district on Monday.
In the first incident, a woman, identified as the sister of one Maqsood Ahmad, was heading towards Shamasabad from Depalpur in her car, when unidentified dacoits intercepted the vehicle at a bridge near Chak-29/D and looted 15-tola gold ornaments and Rs4,000 cash from the woman and her driver. In the second incident, a gang of eight dacoits looted a mobilephone and Rs9,600 cash from one Mian Khan Kharal and his family on Shergarh Road near 25/1AL.
