At least one person was killed while 18 others were injured when an explosion ripped through a busy mobile phone market here in Peshawar on Thursday.
Police said the blast took place in a market situated near Faqeer Abad bridge in Hasht Nagri area of Peshawar.
Officials said at least one person was killed while 18 others were injured in the explosion and were taken to Lady Reading Hospital by police and rescue teams. Three to four injured were said to be in critical condition.
In Peshawar, markets of CDs and musical instruments have often been targeted by militants against whom Pakistan military has been carrying an offensive in tribal agencies.
