CM sees country’s survival  at stake

TOBA TEK SINGH – Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that bloodshed and violence in Quetta, Karachi, KPK and other parts of the country is a conspiracy to weaken Pakistan, adding that if the situation persists, Pakistan’s survival will be at stake.

Addressing a big public meeting at Sports Stadium Toba Tek Singh, he said that no lesson has been learnt from the disintegration of the country and. He urged the people to reject “Zar Baba Forty and Thieves’ in elections in order to rid Pakistan of corruption, unemployment and lawlessness.
He said that if the masses support the Pakistan Muslim League-N led by Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in the forthcoming general elections, all the forms of darkness including loadshedding will be eliminated. He said that the cronies of Musharraf and Zar Baba have pushed the country into darkness. Industries have been shut down while agriculture sector, hospitals and schools are also facing energy crises, he added.
He said that the country would not have been facing darkness, if the worst loot and plunder of national resources had not been committed. He said that “Zar Baba and Forty Thieves” who robbed even Hujjaj will have to be removed to bring brightness to Pakistan. He said that billions of rupees were misappropriated in rental power projects and despite instructions of the Supreme Court, Tauqeer Sadiq who committed a dacoity of Rs.80 billion was issued a new passport and his escape to Abu Dhabi was arranged. He said that the masses will have to support PML-N in the general elections to bring back the looted wealth.
Referring to the welfare projects of Punjab government, Shahbaz Sharif said that he wants to do a lot for the people of the country. He said that Punjab government is distributing 210,000 laptops worth Rs.8.5 billion and 210,000 solar energy panels Ujala programme to students on merit.
He said that a monthly stipend of Rs10,000 is being given to 50,000 postgraduates under internship programme costing Rs2.5 billion while soft-term loans of up to Rs50 thousand have been given to unemployed youth with a sum of rupees 4billion during the last three years. He said that 30,000 tractors have been distributed to cultivators under green tractor scheme worth billions of rupees. He said that free dialysis facility has been resumed in all district headquarters hospitals by importing machinery from Germany while a sum of rupees two billion has been utilised for the installation of air-conditioner in general wards of hospitals.
He said that proprietary rights are being awarded to the dwellers of all Katchi Abadies in rural and urban areas and the fee of Rs172 per marla will also not be charged from widows. He said that the poor farmers, labourers and the common man are being benefited from the fruit of development as it is their own country and they have right over its resources.
He said that Pakistan was created by those who believed in one Allah, one Prophet and one Holy Book, without discrimination of sect and there is a need to foil conspiracies of ‘Aghyaar’ and restore peace in the country for materialising the dreams of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The Chief Minister said that the promises made with the people of district Toba Tek Singh have been honoured and further development projects will be started for the uplift of the district.
When chief minister arrived at Sports Stadium Toba Tek Singh to address a big public meeting, the people welcomed him by raising full throated slogans and clapping loudly. The chief minister responded by waving hands. On the arrival of chief minister, colorful balloons and pigeons were freed. He arrived at the stage and ordered to remove the bullet proof glass from the dais. The Chief Minister made an enthusiastic speech during public meeting at Sports Stadium Toba Tek Singh and thousands of people applauded it. The people were very enthusiastic during the speech of the chief minister.
During his speech, Member National Assembly Junaid Anwaar Chaudhary paid rich tributes to Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif over his public service and executing record development projects. He said that foreign heads of states have also acknowledged the development vision of Shahbaz Sharif.
