TOBA TEK SINGH - DCO Javed Iqbal has said that social security card is the rights of labourers and those who will create hurdles in issuance of cards will have to face action.
While addressing a meeting regarding welfare of labourers here Thursday, he directed the officials concerned to give him report before Feb 8 after preparing pending work of special security cards.
PML-N MPA Mian Muhammad Rafiq informed the DCO that ‘red tapism’ in officials were the great hurdle in implementation of Punjab government’s notification under which Rs572 were fixed as wages for 1,000 bricks to the kiln workers.
District Officer Labour Khadim Hussain, Additional District Collector Haroon Rashid and other were also present.
