PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Governor, Barrister Masood Kausar has appealed to all segments of the society to forge unity and ensure peace and harmony in their ranks while observing fasts during the holy month of Ramazan.
He urged for respecting the religious feelings of all fellow citizens in the real spirit of Islamic brotherhood and being generous with due reverence to enable the deserving faithful brothers to fully avail the opportunities of blessings the Ramazan offers. “The advent of Ramazan-ul-Mubarik is a great blessing of almighty Allah and we being the Muslims have a firm belief that each and every sagacious value which it carries conveys the perfect messages to faithful to follow in their daily routines.
Since fasting does not mean to restrict faithful only to avoid eateries and abide by the Islamic teachings in their individual capacity only rather observance of the sacred values also stresses to realise the needs of fellow beings; respect their feelings and requirements and strictly adhere to the social responsibilities as a member of the respective society and community in line with the Islamic teachings as well.
Therefore, keeping in view the given realities of the present age, our role as a responsible citizen of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is comparatively of more crucial nature. I wish a peaceful, healthy, smooth and amicable environment to all the Muslim countrymen in general and that of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fata in particular to fully avail the sagacious opportunities of fasting in line with the Islamic teachings in a true sense.
Taking advantage of the sacred occasion, I also appeal to all segments of our society to maintain complete unity, peace and sectarian harmony in their ranks; observe fasting with the real spirit of Islamic brotherhood; respect the religious feelings of all fellow citizens and be generous in enabling the deserving faithful to fully avail the opportunities of observing fasting with due reverence.”
