RAWALPINDI - Taxila police seized 8,400 detonators hidden in a Nowshera-bound care during checking at a police post at Malhoot Road and arrested two persons riding the vehicle on Monday. “The police had intensified vehicles checking at the Malhoot Road after getting information about an attempt to transport a huge consignment of detonators through Taxila,” disclosed DSP) Wah Circle Raja Taifoor to the media.A special team constituted for the purpose assigned at the site. Meanwhile, a vehicle (LOW-4408) was intercepted. During search, the police recovered as many as 8,400 detonators hidden in different places of it.The police seized the whole consignment and also arrested two persons Shaukat Ali, son of Noor Muhammad of Bheer Qudrat Nowshera and Ghulam Bahadur Risalpur Cantt.He added that the accused were having no licence for the material they were carrying to Nowshera.
