As many as 15 militants and one security personnel were killed when militants attacked a check post of the security forces from Afghanistan side here in Barawal area of Upper Dir on Friday. According to security sources, a number of militants attacked the Karakar check post near the Afghan border, killing one security man and injuring two others. The forces repulsed the attack in befitting manner, killing 15 militants. The sources said the militants launched the attack from the other side of the border at around 12:20pm.
