LAHORE - PML-N President Mian Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said those making tall claims of their popularity among the masses would come to know their real worth when the elections approach.

Talking to a party delegation from Sialkot at his Raiwind residence, the PML-N chief said that corrupt rulers would be routed in the coming elections.
He asked party men to get ready for the coming general elections to inflict crushing defeat on those who have looted the country. It is PML-N’s mission to liberate the masses from the ruthless clutches of the present rulers, who, according to him, were soaked in corruption and not serious in addressing the problems facing the country, he further told the party men.
He said that loadshedding, price hike and other multiple crises had made the lives of countrymen miserable, adding that all these issues were gift of the incumbent government.
Nawaz was of the view that it was mainly due to the flawed policies of the federal government that country’s economy had reached the point of destruction. He said it was not possible to steer the country out of the present crises without rooting out the menace of corruption.
Nawaz expressed his optimism that a change was imminent when the country would be put on the path of prosperity and development yet again.
He said PML-N was the only political party that made all vital decisions after taking into confidence the people at large and the party men. All decisions, he added, were taken in the best interest of the country and democracy.
