HAFIZABAD - A minor was killed while five others including two students sustained injuries in an accident occurred here at Kot Ishaq on Thursday.
According to the police sources, Shahid, son of Abbas of Rahgo Syedan, was taking his three sons to their school. When they reached near Kot Ishaq, a van rammed into their bike, killing 8-year old student Ahmad on the spot, while Raza,11, M Ali, 10, and Shahid sustained serious injuries. Passenger of van Abdul Rehman and Anwar Shahid were also got injuries. All the injured where rushed to hospital. The police have arrested the van driver.
Sasta Bazaar for Christians opened: Christmas Sasta Bazaar has been inaugurated by the TMA Administrator Fakharul Islam Thursday on Kassoke Road. The DCO urged the shopkeepers to ensure supply of essential commodities at reasonable prices to Christian community so that they could rejoice the Christmas festivity.
He appreciated TMA Administrator for organising Xmas Sasta Bazaar to facilitate the Christians.
