Deadline of degrees verification not expired: ECP

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has stated that the deadline for verification of degrees of parliamentarians has not ended as yet.

Talking to media, additional secretary Muhammad Afzal Khan said that the lawmakers were directed to submit their degrees within fifteen days after receiving the letter, adding that the parliamentarians can still submit their degrees after verifying them from Higher Education Commission (HEC).
He further said that most of the lawmakers have only submitted their graduation degree. However, the ECP had also asked for matric and intermediate degrees. He termed the formation of parliamentary committee for holding talks with ECP as good omen.
