PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has approved Rs 500 million for steps to protect district Peshawar and Nowshera from floods destructions in future.

This huge amount would be utilised to construct protection walls to save hundreds of acres lands and thousands of houses from flood’s ruins, as both the districts have suffered a lot in the aftermath of last deluges in the province.
Talking to media persons, KP Minister for Agriculture Arbab Ayub Jan said that soon after Eid, work on the construction of protection walls and widening water routs would be properly launched, adding that ANP led government would use all ways and means to improve living standard of the people of the province.
He said that present provincial government has launched several mega developmental projects so that to provide maximum relief to people of the province adding to end load shedding in the province different power generation projects are under way.
If these projects, he said, were completed would help to overcome unemployment, bring agricultural revolution, and re-operate all sick industrial units.
He said that government top priority was to maintain peace in which it had succeeded at all.
In order to provide seeds on subsides rates, KP cabinet has already approved Rs300million for the purpose adding that ANP has almost fulfilled all of its promises that it had made with people of the province and ready to contest coming elections on the basis of the performance of the ANP led government.
He said that ANP would contest and win majority of the seats in KP and again it would set up its government in the province as people of the province has attached hope to the ANP, he concluded.
