HAFIZABAD – As many as 25 shops in the city were sealed on the order of the TMA Administrator here on Friday.  According to TO-R Ikram Ullah Sandhu and TO-P Tanveer Yousaf, defaulter shopkeepers had constructed their shops without getting prior approval for the site plans.

DDMC meeting held : DCO Muhammad Asif has directed officers of the departments concerned to prepare comprehensive plan to meet any eventuality in case of flood in River Chenab and other nullahs during the upcoming monsoon season.  He was chairing DDMC meeting here on Friday.
He said that all relief centres should be physically inspected and the officials should be kept abreast of their duties during the likely flood.
Butcher booked : A local butcher Saeed was booked under the Slaughter Act on the charge of selling unhygienic meat in the city.
District Livestock’s Officer Dr Ali Ahmar warned the butchers to ensure sale of hygienic meat. He urged the citizens to pinpoint sale of stale or unhygienic meat in the city.
