Blast damages shops, transformers

PESHAWAR – Militants blew up a power pylon in the Sarband police limits Friday, damaging four nearby shops and two transformers seriously.
Sources said militants planted explosive material with an electric pole, which went off, damaging two transformers, four shops, and some portion of a local hotel.  Police and bomb disposal squad rushed to the site. According to the bomb disposal unit three-kg explosive material was used in the explosion. Police have registered a case and launched a hunt for the culprits.
