PESHAWAR – Brig (Retd) Tariq Sadozai assumed the office of Chief Executive Pesco on Friday and started discharging his official responsibilities.
He resolved to work with full dedication and in the best interest of the company. He vowed to bring the company out of the financial crunch while reducing line losses, increasing recovery and providing better facilities to the public at their doorsteps. He said these three targets could be attained with the cooperation of Pesco employees.
Brig (Retd) Tariq was born in November 1955 in a respectable Sadozai family at DI Khan.
He got commission in Pakistan Army in 1973 and after performing duties on different important assignments in Pakistan Army, he was appointed CEO KESC in 2001, wherein he served for five years and succeeded to achieve the goals assigned, he brought the KESC out of the financial crunch to a great extent in addition to reduction in line losses.
Chief Executive Pesco Brig (Retd) Tariq presided over a high level meeting at Wapda House, Peshawar on Friday. In his address to Pesco senior officers he said, “I need your cooperation and we will be able to bring the company out of the current financial loss of Rs 4 billion per month.” He said to reduce line losses, increase recovery and provision of better facilities to customers, their officers had to go out to the field.
He directed the PESCO officers and officials to work for the betterment of the company and make all out efforts to reduce the line losses and enhance its recovery so that the company could be put on the track of success and prosperity. He directed PESCO employees to facilitate the valuable consumers of PESCO at their doorsteps. The Company and the public has to go hand in hand to tackle the current problems faced by the company in the Province.
