ISLAMABAD - Opposition leader in National Assembly Ch Nisar Ali Khan on Friday said that President Asif Ali Zardari has taken revenge from the people by electing Raja Pervez Ashraf as the new Prime Minister.
Talking to media persons here outside the Parliament, he said that President Zardari has also ruined the stature of a Prime Minister and it was also a set back for the democratic process in the country.
Nisar refused welcome Raja on his election and did not turn up in the House at the time of the announcement of the results by the Speaker.
Sources in the PML-N said  he informed about his intention in the Parliamentary party meeting to devise the strategy for the elections. When the PPP MPs came to know about this senior party leader Syed Khursheed Shah approached Nisar but he declined to oblige the treasury.
Later, Raja also met him when he came in the house.
