ISLAMABAD - Leader of Opposition in National Assembly, Ch Nisar Ali Khan, on Friday said no one should have any objections if parliamentary committee formed to select caretaker PM fails to reach any consensus and the matter is referred to Election Commission of Pakistan.
"This system is being practiced for the first time so it should be seen positively," he said, adding that sending the name to election commission is also constitutional.
The PML-N stalwart also raised reservation on caretaker Chief Minister (CM) in Sindh, saying that he ruling Pakistan Peoples Party had not consulted coalition partners.
He passed a comment that the role of the opposition was played by a former ally of Pakistan Peoples Party.
He said that they never believe in back door channels and all steps taken by him as a leader of opposition in the national assembly were done in a transparent manner.  About concern raised by government side on the nominee proposed by opposition side, he said their nominee has no affiliation with the PML-N.
However, he said the name proposed from government side has close affiliation of the part and President Asif Ali Zardari.
To a question for not consulting JUI-F over nominees, he said JUI-F were consulted because they refused to be part of the deliberations.
