RAWALPINDI - In a bid to provide better medical treatment to patients, City District Government Rawalpindi (CDGR) has started improving the conditions of 10 dispensaries in the city.
This was informed by Up-gradation Committee for Municipal Dispensaries Chairman and PML-N MPA Sheryar Riaz in a meeting held at District Coordination Officer (DCO) Offices on Tuesday.
The meeting was also attended by DCO Saqib Zafar, Executive District Officer (EDO) Health Dr Zafar Iqbal Gondal and other senior officials.
PML-N MPA Shaharyar Riaz informed the meeting that the provincial government also approved the project to up grade eight other municipal dispensaries in the city and the funds would be released for these dispensaries during next fiscal year 2012-13.
He said that the laboratory test facilities would also be provided in the dispensaries in order to facilitate the people at their doorsteps. He said that total 10 ECG machines would also be provided.
The up gradation work of four dispensaries at Dhoke Hassu, Dhoke Mangtal, Sirajia Park and Millat Colony would be ended by June 15, said DCO Saqib Zafar adding that the remaining dispensaries would be up graded by August 15.
