ARIFWALA - The lawyer fraternity on Tuesday observed a complete strike and boycott of court against the incident wherein a lawyer was critically injured by a speeding bus.

The strike was called by the Tehsil Bar Association Arifwala. No lawyer appeared in any court, bringing the entire courts proceedings to a halt. It is to be noted that Advocate Shakeel Jatt was hit and critically injured by a speeding bus when he was enter the court premises on his motorcycle. He sustained critical wounds and was rushed shifted to Sahiwal Hospital where his condition is stated to be critical.
Following the incident, the lawyers ran amok and burnt the bus and a motorcycle. The protesting lawyers also blocked Bhawalnagar-Pakpattan Road many hours.
The Arifwala City Police registered a case and arrested the conductor of the bus.
