TOBA TEK SINGH - With advent of sweltering summer, the city has been facing a water crisis. The residents in various areas have been complaining about the water shortage and irregular and insufficient supply from the TMA.

The JUI local leader Dr Rafiq Anwar Chishti has warned the Tehsil Municipal Authority that if drinking water supply was not restored to various localities, his party will take out a protest rally against the authority.
Addressing a press conference here the other day, he said that there was no water supply in Sarhand Colony, Awami Basti, Gaushala and Katchi Basti for the last 15-days.
“Currently the citizens are facing numerous problems due to the shortage of water and the crisis would be further aggravated if the TMA failed to replace the old water piplines,” he said.
