PESHAWAR – Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter, Naib Ameer Mushtaq Ahmad Khan has alleged that JUI-F Chief, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman is doing ‘fraud’ by claiming restoration of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), as he does not have any roadmap to reorganise the religious parties.   “It will be like an empty bullet if MMA is restored sans JI and JUI-S,” Mushtaq said while addressing a news conference here at Peshawar Press Club on Monday. He added that a comprehensive roadmap would have to be prepared to restore the alliance of the religious parties in the shape of MMA.   Flanked by Sahibzada Haroonur Rashid, JI former MNA from Bajaur Agency, and party provincial Secretary Information Israrullah advocate, Mushtaq said that a post-election Islamisation draft should be prepared, upon which signatures of the heads of all the religious parties in the alliance should be made. The use of irresponsible language of Maulana Fazl about an organised religious party of the country is shameful, he said and demanded of Maulana to tender apology to Jamaat-e-Islami. The JI ameer further said that Maulana used this ‘derogatory’ language while setting along with Khwaja Hoti, which is more meaningful. MMA in the 2002 general elections in the presence of JI had established its government in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, while in the 2008 poll it had faced a defeat with 68 seats, he said whereas Maulana had also defeated at his ancestral seat. Therefore, Maulana’s thinking to aloofly run the affairs of revived MMA is ill-logical.He maintained that Maulana should concentrate upon his own party instead of making criticism on JI, as he (Maulana) hasn’t candidates for the upcoming elections while JI has succeeded in finalising 44 nominees. The JUI-F is loosing its Islamic identity by making part Khwaja Hoti, Kabir Khan and Wilayat Khan like un-Islamic and secular persons for material benefits, he alleged rather it is a step of JUI-F chief towards secularism, he added. “Our reservations on MMA would exist until Maulana detaches himself from the Zardari-led incumbent PPP government,” he informed, and alleged that Maulana not only remained a part of the govt for three years but also endorsed the pro-US policies of the federal govt and still remained part of the Balochistan govt, which the Chief Justice of Pakistan has termed the most corrupt govt in the country. Those sitting in a ‘Seesh Mahal’ and throwing stones on others make their own loss, Mushtaq remarked. In reply to a query he said that the JUI-F chief Maulana has been JI-phobia, just because of JI’s growing popularity.
