LAKKI MARWAT – The district police administration has chalked out a comprehensive and foolproof security plan to ensure maintenance of peace and tranquility on Eidul Azha. Under the plan which was formulated and finalised at a meeting presided over by DPO Muhammad Idrees Khan, police force will heighten vigilance and will take result oriented actions against miscreants and anti social elements to stop occurrence of robberies, highway dacoities, car snatching and other heinous nature crimes in the district before and during Eid days”, said an official on Monday. He said that police force with the help of bomb disposal squad would provide foolproof security to Eid congregations. “Besides one platoon each of regular police, frontier reserve police and frontier constabulary will be kept on stand by position in police lines to cope with any mishap or troubled situation”, he told.  He said that the station house officers would re organize duties of force under their command with special focus on increasing patrolling in their respective areas. He added that SHOs and other subordinate police officials had also been directed to keep an eagle eye on the activities of suspected elements and provide security to business centres, petrol pumps, parks, recreational and public places and hotels. Official disclosed that surprise raids on the hideouts of proclaimed absconders and anti social elements were part of Eid security plan to foil any possible bid of carrying out criminal activities. He told that the law enforcers would also tighten security on the borders with adjacent frontier tribal regions to stop infiltration of criminals. “The volunteers of village and Mohallah level committees will be engaged in policing the area and help law enforcement agencies to maintain peace and public order during Eid festival”, official maintained.
