FAISALABAD - A mother gave birth to a child on the pavement outside the emergency ward of Allied Hospital Faisalabad on Tuesday. However, the child died soon after.
The relatives of the woman from Fatehgarh staged a protest and blocked the road. They accused the doctors of negligence.
Her relatives said they reached the hospital at 3pm but they were not taken in the emergency ward, which resulted in the death of the newly-born after the delivery on the pavement.
The hospital administration said the pregnant woman was brought to the hospital at 7pm and the newly-born had already died in the womb of the mother. The protesters dispersed on police’s arrival.
