Two college students hurt in firing

QUETTA - Two students were wounded in a firing incident in Mastung while two people were kidnapped from Quetta and Bolan areas, on Saturday.

According to police, two students of Degree College Mastung identified as Abdul Salam and Saeed Ahmed were wounded in a firing incident by unidentified people. They were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical aid and later shifted to Quetta for further treatment.
In another incident, unidentified armed men intercepted a passenger bus near Dahdar area of Bolan which was heading towards Quetta from Sadiqabad.
The armed men disembarked a passenger identified as Nazar Muhammad at gunpoint and deprived other passengers of their cash and valuables before escaping from the site.
Levies rushed to the site after being informed about the incident and started a search to trace out the kidnappers.
Similarly, four armed men riding a car kidnapped a person identified as Sikander from Eastern Bypass area of Quetta and fled from the scene.
Motive behind the kidnapping could not be ascertained. However, police suspected it could be a case of kidnapping for ransom.
Police have registered a case and further investigation was under way.
