WARBURTON - Punjab Sports Festival initiated by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif is good step but timing of the event is unsuitable as the students are preparing for their exams these days.
Reportedtly, parents of the students, who are participating in games and not paying heed to their studies, lamented the government decision. The parents and teachers requested to the CM to stop the sports festival in the best interest of students because SSC date sheets have been announced and exam will start on March 3, 2012. They suggested that the sports festivals should also be held with the CM’s speech and essay writing competitions.
