BAHAWALNAGAR - A theft case has been registered against a PML-N member of the Nation Assembly and his 14 accomplices including his son with Macleod Ganj police station. The police booked MNA Khadim Kaluka, his son Abdul Ghaffar, former tehsil nazim of Minchinabad, and 13 others on the order of Additional District and Sessions Judge Mohsin Raza following a petition filed by Israr Ahmad Jhabel.
According to the police, the case was the outcome of political rivalry between Kaluka and Gadhoka families, as a case (76/13 U/S 448,148,149,109) has been registered against Tahir son of Tariq Usman Gadhoka, a former MPA, and others on the complaint of Kaluka.
Commenting on the issue, Deputy Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly Shaukat Mehmood Basra said police should uphold the rule of law and the probe should be constituted under the supervision of some honest police officer and if the accused found guilty they should be penalised accordingly.
