Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira Thursday said that Prime Minister Raja Parvez Ashraf has started consultations with the political leaders on the caretaker setup.

Talking to the media in Islamabad Thursday‚ the Information Minister said though the dates of dissolution of Provincial Assemblies vary but it will be their utmost desire to hold the elections on one day. He said it is however the discretion of the Provincial Governments to decide about their dissolution.
The Information Minister termed the written agreement with Tahirul Qadri as legal and said we stand by it and will implement it. He said another meeting with Tahirul Qadri will be held on Sunday.
The Minister said the election schedule has so far not been announced and the governments can go ahead with the legislation‚ development work and make appointments till the last day of the completion of their tenure.
Qamar Zaman Kaira said the commission on creation of new provinces was established after consultations with the opposition parties.
Earlier‚ addressing Seerat-un- Nabi conference at Allama Iqbal Open University in Islamabad‚ the Information Minister said  by following the teachings of Holy Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) we can confront all challenges.
He said we can establish an ideal society only by following the teachings of the last prophet (PBUH).
The minister regretted that some misguided are using the name of Islam to exploit the people. These misguided are against the education of girls and women which is totally contrary to the message of holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad [peace be upon him].
He called upon the religious scholars to highlight the true image of Islam which is a practical religion.
