Prayer leader gunned down in Quetta

QUETTA - Unidentified armed men gunned down a prayer leader belonging to Sunni sect, in Quetta, on Wednesday.
According to police, armed men riding motorbike opened indiscriminate fire on Mufti Rehmatullah at Kakar colony within the limits of Satellite town Quetta.
Resultantly, he sustained critical wounds and died on the spot. Police and rescue workers rushed to the site after the incident and shifted dead body to civil hospital for medico-legal formalities. “Two masked assailants came on motorbike and opened fire on prayer leader of Masjid Mian Khan,” police officials said as quoting eyewitnesses, adding that investigations were underway to ascertain if it was sectarian killing or had reason.
Police handed over the body to heirs after completing legal formalities and started further investigation into the incident.
