ORAKZAI AGENCY - Five miscreants were killed and three others were injured when an explosion rocked Mamozai area of Orakzai Agency on Wednesday. According to sources, the blast occurred in a warehouse of Taliban militants situated in Jandari area of Tehsil Mamozi. The warehouse was apparently used for storage of explosives. The explosion left five militants dead, besides injuring three others. It was a high intensity blast that destroyed the building. The locals shifted the injured to a hospital in Mirakalam Khial area of Orakzai agency. Taliban militants cordoned off the area and barred the people from the site. An eyewitness, requesting anonymity, told The Nation that the area is a stronghold of Taliban militants and despite military operation, Taliban wield power in the area. Fearing the military operation,a large number of people have shifted to other parts of the agency. The military operation in the volatile Orakzai agency is still continued and security forces claim clearing ninety percent area of militant.
