MULTAN - The lawyers marked Monday as black day against genocide of Muslims in Burma and observed complete strike. The district and High Court Bars held separate protest demonstrations and meetings. Holding flags and banners inscribed with slogans against UNO, the black coats gathered at Chowk Kachehri and outside High Court Bar and shouted slogans against Burmese government as well as UN. They also burnt the flags of United Nations and Burma. Talking to the journalists, the protesters said that the Muslims were being killed by Burmese forces and Budhist monks for decades but now they started committing massacre. They said that the silence of entire world and UNO on genocide of Muslims in Burma was criminal and highly condemnable which also unveiled their real anti-Muslim faces. They demanded Pakistan government to take this matter to the security council of UNO and seek international intervention in Burma.
BZU declares result:  The Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan has declared the result of MCom, Part-1 (Annual System) Annual Examination 2011 here on Monday. According to the result notification, a total of 1069 candidates appeared in the examination out of which just 392 could get through while 677 failed. The notification said that the result of four students would be declared later on. The overall success ratio in this examination stood at 36.81 per cent.

10 Sasta Ramazan bazaars set up:  DCO Saif Anjum has said that 10 Ramazan bazaars and 45 fair price shops have been established to the public with provide daily-use items at concessional prices during the holy month Ramazan.  He warned that stern action would be taken against profiteers and hoarders and those who sell food items at exorbitant rates. He was presiding over a meeting held to review arrangements at Sasta Ramazan bazaars.
Traders, Ulema and other officers concerned also attended the meeting. The DCO said that the government was being providing subsidy on pulses, sugar, and flour, while other edibles would be available at cheap prices at Ramazan bazaars.
 He further said that a security plan had been finalised for mosques during Ramazan. In the meeting Ulema and traders suggested various proposals and assured the administration of their full support.
