SWAT – Like elsewhere in the entire country, excessive loadshedding also continues to annoy the people in Swat during the holy month of Ramadan. The power remained disconnected for five hours in the Sehr while remained disconnected before the time of Iftar everyday of Ramazan. The power remained suspended at the time of Taraveeh on the routine. It has been learnt that political parties and the civil society may call for a protest rally any time against the unscheduled loadshedding.Widespread electricity outages having no mercy made the locals mentally disturb. The innocent children and elders at homes are facing very difficulties scenes during the Iftar and Sehr time. The heat of intensity increased as the loads shedding is also increases day by day and there is no concern person to ask about the brutally hors long load shedding observed in district swat. The elected MPA, MNA are busy in his luxurious life and were oblivious of the masses problems due to excessive power outage. When this correspondent contacted local MPA and Minister for Forests Wajid Ali khan he said we condemn the excessive loadshedding which has been observed at Swat and contacted Chief Executive Wapda and apprise federal Minister for Water and Petroleum in this regard. 

We also demanded of the high concerned authorities that energy crisis is prevailing all over the country but Swat should be compared in loadshedding with Islamabad and provide us proper schedule, Wajid Ali Khan added. When contacted Wapda A/C Swat Pir Alamzeb for his stance about the unprecedented load shedding, What was surprising was the attitude of the A/C who appeared submissive instead of ordering to his staff for the redress of people’s complains Pir Alam Zeb bluntly replied that “I am going for sleeping and don’t know about the load shedding please contact XCN Wapda he will provide you better information”. Question arises here that A/C Swat Pir Alamzeb sleeping time is very sacred and he does not pay any heed to his duty so who will ask about sleepless night of innocent citizens of swat who compelled to be fasting in blackout. When an executive level office bearer of WAPDA have this type of attitude so where will the already stress masses apprise for their problem solving.
