Sherpao narrowly escapes in attack

President Pakistan People Party (Sherpao), Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao narrowly escaped from terrorist attack when unidentified persons hurled hand grenade on PPP Sherpao office at Hayatabad here on Tuesday, leaving one injured in the attack. According to police sources, Aftab Ahmed Kahn Sherpao was the target of the attack but he and his brother Sikandar Khan Sherpao were not present in the office when unknown persons hurled hand grenade on the office, resultantly Muhammad Amir Khan Achakzai sustained injuries while other five workers of the party were also narrowly escaped from the explosion, the injured person was shifted to nearby hospital for medical treatment. The sources said that windowpanes of nearby buildings were broken due to the explosion while fear and panic prevailed in the area after the attack. Later on police rushed to the crime scene and cordoned off the area and started investigation of the bomb explosion. Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf have directed the Interior Ministry to provide foolproof security to Aftab Ahmed Sherpao while assuring complete security arrangements to Aftab Ahmed Sherpao on telephone.
