ISLAMABAD - Distancing it from the statement of Railways minister who announced head money for the producer of the anti-Islam film, the Prime Minister House said in a statement on Sunday that government has nothing to do with this act of the federal minister.

Railways Minister Ghulam Ahmad Bilour in a press conference on Saturday had announced a reward of $100,000 for killing the producer of the profane film.
PM House spokesman said that Bilour is a leader of Awami National Party (ANP) and the prime minister had contacted with ANP chief Asfandyar Wali over the matter. Without ruling out any action against the minister, the spokesman said for the time being he would continue working as usual.
ANP spokesman Zahid Khan told media persons on Sunday that their party believed in non-violence and it had always talked of peace and stability. He said that the declaration of head money was a personal act of Ghulam Ahmad Bilour and it has nothing to do with the party. The party would seek an explanation from him over the matter, he added.
ANP MNA Bushra Gohar in an interview with the BBC said that Bilour’s statement was criminal and prime minister should call an explanation from the member of his cabinet. She said Bilour’s act tantamount to ridiculing the moderate members of his party who have given exemplary sacrifices in the fight against Taliban extremists.
