QUETTA - Different religious parties and organisations on Sunday took out rallies and staged demonstrations across the province, condemning the blasphemous movie produced in the US.

Led by Syed Hayat Shah Saeedi, dozens of activists of the Al-Fala Education staged a demonstration outside the Quetta Press Club. They lashed out at the government, saying the rulers should give up the slavery of the US and promptly severe its diplomatic relations with Washington. The protestors were carrying placards and banners bearing various anti-US slogans. “Muslims will never tolerate blasphemy against Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and are ready to render sacrifices for dignity of Islam” they added. A protest rally was taken out by the JUI-Ideological and Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamat at Dalbandin Town in Chagai district. Hundreds of protesters of both outfits staged a large rally at the Central Chowk.
Jamaat’s leaders Maulana Sanaullah Farooqi, Hafiz Hamdallah and others termed such acts as conspiracy against Islam. They regretted that the Pakistani rulers remained silent over it and failed to take the issue on any international forum. They said Jews had hurt the feelings of Muslims by desecrating Holy Quran and now they have produced the blasphemous film. The leaders demanded the government and international community to initiate stern action against the filmmakers. Meanwhile, the Jamaat Ahl-e-Sunnah organised a protest rally in Nushki where scores of protestors marched through various roads chanting anti-US slogans and condemned blasphemous act.
