April 25, 2010

CHAR SADDA The President of his own faction of PPP, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao has urged the government to hold a judicial enquiry into the targeted killing of late Alamzeb Umerzai, ex-MPA and provincial vice president of PPP-S. The escape of killers of a political leader in a broad daylight proved that the government had not provided full security to late Alamzeb Umerzai, who was killed along with his three other colleagues in Charsadda the other day, he said while talking to media men after laying floral wreath at the grave of late Alamzeb Umerzai. Flanked by other leaders of PPP-S, Sherpao said that the government should include all aspects of the killing of his party leader, adding that he would talk about the compensation of late Sui gas department engineer Sher Jan, with Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, who had also been killed along with Alamzeb Umerzai. He claimed that writ of the provincial government is nowhere in the province. He accused the federal government of its failure to overcome power crisis, adding that now the government had taken the initiative of two holidays in a week, which had already been rejected by trader and business communities of the country.
