QUETTA – A gas pipeline and a power pylon were exploded in Dera Bugti and Barkhan districts on Tuesday while two people were kidnapped in Naseerabad.

According to officials, unknown saboteurs had planted explosives under a 16-inch diameter gas pipeline in Pir Koh area of Dera Bugti. The explosives went off with a huge blast, destroying a portion of the pipeline and suspending gas supply to the purification plant. However, no one was hurt in the blast.
“Repair work on the damaged pipeline has started,” an official said.
In another incident, a power pylon of 132- KV transmission line was blown up in Barkhan district. The explosives fitted to the pylon exploded, suspending power supply to different villages of Barkhan and Kohlu.
Meanwhile, armed men kidnapped a driver Muhammad Ibrahim and his brother Shah Nawaz from Chattar Police Station Limits Naseerabad district. Police said that Muhammad Ibrahim along with his brother were travelling in his truck when they were kidnapped
