ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has directed Interior Minister Rehman Malik to adopt measures for curbing the misuse of mobile phone service without causing any inconvenience to common people.

The prime minister gave these directives in a meeting with the minister at the PM House on Friday. He said mobile phone had become an integral part of life and people must continue enjoying this facility without any disruption.
Malik briefed Raja about the steps taken by his ministry to avert any untoward incident on Eidul Fitr, saying that the decision of blocking cellular services in some areas had paved way to maintaining peace during the festival. The prime minister praised the minister and his team for ensuring peace.
Separately, Federal Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Sheikh called on the prime minister and briefed him about the measures taken by his ministry to achieve macro-economic stability. The finance minister said Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) funds were being released as per schedule so that these projects could be completed in time.
The prime minister expressed the hope that the ministry would continue to strive for improving the financial situation.
