Talking to media persons here on Sunday, Haji Adeel said that Awami National Party can forgive the killers of Haji Bashir Bilour if Taliban shun militancy. He said that Taliban have demanded guarantee of Nawaz Sharif, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rahman and Jamaat Islami chief Syed Munawar Hassan but now the question is there that who will give the guarantee of Taliban militants for successful dialogue.
Earlier, the Taliban Shura decided to take the guarantee of three main opposition leaders for initiating dialogues with the government. Taliban said that they would think about a ceasefire after talking to these leaders and after assessing whether the government was serious about meaningful peace talks or nor.
The ANP leadership had also convened an APC in Islamabad to discuss ways and means for starting dialogue with militants. However the Taliban leadership has termed the ANP sponsored APC a part of the election campaign to muster maximum sympathies of the people in the upcoming election.
Regarding the issue of new provinces, the ANP leader said that he does not agree with the first paragraph of the bill regarding making new provinces. He said that this paragraph states that government could curtail or increase the limit of any province incase of making new provinces. He warned that if this formula was implemented then Muttahida Qaumi Movement could separate Karachi and Haiderabad to create a new province, which is against the interest of various communities living in Karachi.
