ISLAMABAD - The top leadership of PML-Q on Thursday conveyed the concerns and complaints of its party legislators about non-release of development funds to Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.

The concerns were conveyed during a meeting between the prime minister and PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervez Elahi.
The PML-Q leadership also conveyed to Raja Ashraf their reservation that some of PPP leaders were luring Q-leaguers to contest from PPP platform, sources said.
When contacted, PML-Q’s Arshad Ullah said it was a routine meeting but he was unaware about details of the meeting.
It is relevant to mention here that a large number of PML-Q members in a recent PML-Q meeting conveyed to the leadership their concerns about non-release of development funds. A press release issued from the Prime Minister’s House stated that overall political situation of the country came under discussion. The PML-Q president assured the prime minister of his complete support to the government in its endeavours. Prime Minister Ashraf reiterated his resolve to take all necessary steps for holding free, fair and impartial elections in the country.
