Power production surges to 12,000 MWs

Power generation surged to 12,000 megawatts, informed Tahir Basharat Cheema, head of Energy Management Cell (EMC) on Monday.

He said the oil supply to the power plants has been resumed and it is expected that the power production will mount by 1200 megawatts by tonight.
Ruling out any unannounced spans of load shedding in the country, Cheema asserted distributing companies are carrying out power outages in accordance with their respective set schedule.
