Balochistan govt to file review petition

QUETTA - Balochistan Government has decided to file a review petition in Supreme Court against its interim order on deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan.
Decision to this effect was taken during a high-profile meeting of a Committee presided over by Governor Balochistan Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi here on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani,Corps Commander Khattak, Chief Secretary Balochistan Babar Yaqoob, Inspector General Frontier Corps Major General Ubaidullah Khan, Provincial Home Secretary Akbar Hussain Durrani, Acting Inspector General Police Balochistan Ghalib Bandesha and heads of other provincial agencies were present during the meeting held at Governor’s House Balochistan.
The meeting was summoned to discuss the Supreme Court’s interim order regarding law and order situation in Balochistan.
The meeting reviewed legal aspects of the interim order and that of the subsequent situation and it was agreed that steps would be taken in line with the Supreme Court interim order for improving law and order situation in Balochistan.
The sources said that according to the advice given by Governor Balochistan Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi, it was suggested that a review petition would be lodged in Supreme Court before the next hearing of the Balochistan law and order case scheduled on October 31st.
