Five nicked as 40-kg opium found from bus

QUETTA - The Levies Force seized a huge cache of opium from a bus carrying pilgrims in Chagai district on Wednesday.
Officials said the bus, carrying pilgrims, was heading to Quetta from Taftan when the personnel stopped it at Padag area and recovered 40kg opium from it. Five people, including driver and cleaner, were arrested.
Chagai Deputy Commissioner Agha Irfan Gharsheen and Tehsildar Syed Murid Shah told the media that the drug was worth millions of rupees adding that the pilgrims were escorted to Quetta from Dalbandin in another bus. Levies have registered a case and started investigation.
