ISLAMABAD - Rejecting the Supreme Court judgement in Asghar Khan case, former army chief Aslam Beg on Wednesday claimed he was oblivious that the ISI director general was bankrolling the politicians.
In an interview with a private TV chanel, Beg stressed that Nawaz Sharif never took money. He said Gen (r) Naseerullah Babar had confirmed this.
The list submitted to the court was bogus, he said and added the PPP concocted a plot to delay the upcoming elections. He also blamed the hanging of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on Asghar Khan.
