October 25, 2012

LAHORE - President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday named a four-member committee of senior Pakistan People’s Party leaders to remove the reservations of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) regarding the appointment of Manzoor Wattoo as the PPP Punjab chief.
A notification was issued about the formation of the committee comprising, Nazar Muhammad Gondal, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Manzoor Watto and Imtiaz Safdar Waraich.
The committee will soon meet the PML-Q representatives in Punjab and Islamabad. It will listen to the grievances of its coalition partner before presenting a report to President Zardari.
Reports suggest that the PML-Q leadership is annoyed with Wattoo’s appointment as the PPP Punjab president and conveyed its reservations to President Zardari.
