QUETTA - Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) Quetta on Monday summoned officials of Crimes Branch investigating Nawab Akbar Bugti’s murder case to appear at the next hearing on October 2nd.
The ATC judge Muhammad Ismail Baloch summoned Crimes Branch officials while hearing Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti’s murder case here on Monday.
During the hearing, the counsel of Nawabzada Jamil Akbar Bugti, Sohail Ahmed Rajput prayed to the court that all the accused nominated in the case may be included in investigations because so far only three accused were being interrogated. He requested that former President Pervez Musharraf, former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, former District Coordinator Officer Abdul Samad and all other nominated accused be included in the investigation in the light of orders of the court.
Noor Ahmed appeared before the court on the part of Crimes Branch. The judge inquired that the authorities of Crimes Branch had been directed to appear before the court but why they did not appear. The judge ordered the authorities of Crimes Branch to appear before the court on October 2nd.
It may be mentioned here that after the directives of Balochistan High Court, the murder case of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti was registered on the request of his son Nawabzada Jamil Bugti while Anti-Terrorist Court Sibi issued arrest warrants of former President Pervez Musharraf, former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, former Federal Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Sherpao, former Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Muhammad Yousuf and other nominated accused.
However, Aftab Ahmed Sherpao and Jam Muhammad Yousuf sought pre-arrest bail from Balochistan High Court.
The case was later transferred to ATC Quetta.
