ISLAMABAD (SIKANDER SHAHEEN) - The military command has swapped the postings of two generals with the appointment of Lieutenant General Muzammil Hussain as the Corps Commander Gujranwala to replace Lieutenant General Raheel Sharif posted out as Inspector General Training and Evaluation (T&E), military sources said. Lt Gen Muzammil Hussain was previously performing duties as IG T&E.
He reportedly took charge of his new assignment on Monday. Further reshuffle within the military’s top hierarchy is expected in the coming months following the retirement of Chairman Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) Lieutenant General Ayaz Saleem Rana in October and that of the Corps Commander Multan Lt-Gen Shafqaat Ahmed in November. The Chief of General Staff (CGS) Lt Gen Arshad Waheed would reportedly be the Corps Commander Multan after Shafqaat’s retirement.
