PM repeats call for strict action against moviemaker

LAHORE - Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on Monday called for strict action against those responsible for making the sacrilegious movie, as well as an effective legislation at international level to stop such acts aimed at degrading any religion and faith in the world.Addressing a ceremony regarding distribution of compensation cheques among heirs of the shoe factory fire victims here at the Governor House, the Prime Minister said the sacrilegious movie had not only hurt the sentiments of entire Muslim Ummah, but also endangered the world peace. He said that the Muslim do not refrain from laying down even their lives for the respect of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).The PM said the fire incident in Lahore is a national tragedy. He said the government fully shares the grief and sorrow of the bereaved families. The PM said that the children of the victims of the tragic incident would be provided free education in the government educational institutions.
