Christians hold protest demo

PESHAWAR - Condemning the torching of church building in district Mardan, Christian community on Tuesday held a protest demonstration on main Sher Shah Suri Road outside Peshawar Press Club and demanded action against the people involved in this criminal act.
The protestors led by its local leaders Romal Maseh were carrying placards and banners, and expressed grave concern over the burning of their holy book Bibles and damaging the building of Church. “We strongly condemned the unjustified attack on a worship place, said Romal Maseh, and demanded the government to take stern action against the people involved into the incident under the section 292-C under law of the state.
He said that leaders of the political and religious parties were staged protest demonstrations under their parties’ banners, must held accountable for the attack on Church in Mardan.
The protesters also condemned the anti-Islam movie produced in United States, sought the America and UN to conduct impartial probe into the matter and bring to justice the culprits of this sacrilegious act, which was created great blow to peace of the world. “We have great love and respect with Pakistan and Islam, and we express complete solidarity with Muslims of the World”, the protesters said. 
The demonstrators said that media had covered damaging a cinema and other buildings, but ignored torching the Church building in Mardan to expose the faces behind this un-Islamic act.
