Nawaz says won’t let govt delay elections



LAHORE - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Nawaz Sharif has said that the PPP government would not be allowed to delay the general elections on the pretext of deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan.
In an interview with a private TV channel on Tuesday, the former prime minister said either President Asif Zardari should resign or distance himself from the Pakistan People’s Party. He said nobody could eradicate corruption within 30 days, a reference to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan.
Nawaz also shared his strategy to stabilise country’s economy and said tax rate should be lowered by 10 to 15 per cent.
Answering a question regarding riots on Love Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) Day, he said those who resorted to violent protests brought bad name to the countryn.
Nawaz also vowed to arrest killers of Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti.
